Job Description: Customer Service Manager
Reports To: Dispatch Manager or Distribution Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Operations — Dispatch or Distribution
Summary:
To provide service to customers by taking customer orders and assisting them with any needs/problems by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Take delivery orders from customers and enter the orders into the Courier Order Processing Systems (COPS).
- Assist in validating and maintaining the information stored in the COPS database.
- Enter/complete orders for Office Max and Office Depot deliveries.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining driver manifests/BOLŐs.
- Assist with Route returns/narcotic blanks.
- Assist in pulling outbound Choice Logistics orders.
- Contact customers with problems on delivery orders as needed.
- Customer care surveys
- Up-sell referral program

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience..
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization..
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs..
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations..

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Order processing systems and Database software..
